Atlantis Hotel & Restaurant barbados
Exploring Tent Bay and the wonderful Atlantis Hotel and Restaurant.
Welcome to the historic Atlantis Hotel, located on the eastern coastline of Barbados.
As we fly into the hotel the extensive solar panels that line the roof are visible, an indication of how the island is transitioning to renewable energy from reliance on fossil fuels.
Flying through the restaurant we emerge into beautiful Tent Bay, greeted by bright blue skies and turquoise waters. A quick spin of the drone emphasizes the proximity of the hotel & restaurant to the beach.
In the early 1900’s a trainline ran directly in front of The Atlantis, ferrying travellers between the capital city Bridgetown and the Belleplaine area north of Atlantis, a journey of approx. 25 miles. There was a stop directly in front of the hotel for those looking to spend the day or enjoy an extended stay.
As we continue flying around the property the inviting waters of the outdoor swimming pool give way to the deck seating area where guests enjoy traditional local cuisine and international dishes.
We head upstairs into the luxuriously appointed hotel rooms and enjoy another amazing ocean view.
Although brief, this drone video is well shot and edited by the Caribbean Journal team.
