Batts Rock Beach barbados

Take off at the beach and head offshore over turquoise waters along the scenic west coast of Barbados.

OK, I’m totally biased here since this is my favourite beach in Barbados :)

The overhead shot of the kayaker (I think he’s also a fisherman), and the fly-by along the shore, capture the stunning aquamarine waters that invite you in for a swim or soak.

Flying north reveals the well-maintained tropical gardens that line the shore, as well as the clifftops which an older gentleman from the area once told me was home to a beachfront nightclub in his younger days.

Panning back to the south we can see the cruise ship harbour and capital city Bridgetown in the distance.

Gentle waves make their way to shore as the pilot skillfully flies us close to the water and a small reef. Looking back out to sea we spot a couple of boats heading north with some lucky guests out for a day on the water, probably destined to snorkel over a shipwreck and swim with turtles.

Heading back inland, we can see the ruins of the doomed Four Seasons luxury residences project. The site was home to the famous Paradise Hotel in the 1970s and 80s.

A tracking shot along the shore takes us safely back to our starting point.

Although the lighting is a bit bright at times, all in all this is an excellent drone video. But remember I am a bit biased :)
