Watersports Off The Boatyard barbados

Experience the crystal-clear ocean waters and fun watersports at The Boatyard, Barbados.

This stunning drone footage was shot with a DJI MaVic Pro and captures the natural beauty and fun watersports off The Boatyard and within Carlisle Bay on the south-western coast of Barbados.

The beckoning blue waters are vividly captured as we fly out to the catamarans and other vessels anchored in the bay. Next we soar over the jetty, observing several persons frolicking on the warm ocean waters.

The ocean trampoline, iceberg climb and slide, and rope swing come into view as a jetski lingers around. I love the way the shimmering of the ocean is captured at this point.

The next overhead shot shows several persons enjoying a thrilling swim with sea turtles, one of Barbados’ most popular visitor activities. Carlisle Bay, with its pristine waters and numerous shipwrecks, is a wonderful spot for this activity.

A flyaway shot from the drone operator takes us back over the water and reveals the shoreline with a plethora of colourful beach umbrellas.

A Glass Bottom Boat sets out to join the catamarans, carrying lucky passengers to snorkel and swim. Two of Barbados’ best hotels - The Radisson Aquatica and Hilton - now come into view at the southern end of the Bay.

Our final flyover gives a wonderful parting vista of Carlisle Bay, a historic spot which played a vital role in our maritime history - both commercial and military - and continues to be a place of enjoyment for locals and visitors.
