Paynes Bay Flyby barbados

This captivating drone video takes us on a short journey north along Paynes Bay on Barbados’ tranquil west coast.

As we soar, the charming QP Bistro appears, a delightful oceanfront spot offering stunning views and delicious dishes.

On the right, the Beach View Hotel stands with its spacious accommodations, beautiful gardens, and refreshing outdoor pool, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Just beyond the hotel is the historic Paynes Bay Methodist Church.

Across the road, we pass over the Cuban Monument, a solemn tribute to the victims of the 1976 bombing of a Cuban civilian airliner off Barbados.

A yellow minibus winds its way from Bridgetown to Holetown and Speightstown, bustling with passengers heading from the capital city to the island’s northern towns.

The most captivating sight is the crystal-clear ocean waters on the left. We can see the coral reefs which provide a home to fish, sea urchins, rays, and other marine life, and also protects the coastline from erosion. This is a wonderful spot for snorkeling and it’s quite amazing to emerge from the underwater world into this lively scene.

We get a final view of the meandering western coastline, dotted with sheltered bays and soft sandy beaches… a true paradise awaiting exploration.
