Prospect Beach barbados
Soar above turquoise waters, coral reefs, a jetskier, and anchored catamaran.
Our drone takes flight at the southern end of Prospect Beach along Barbados’ calm and inviting west coast.
At this quieter southern stretch, the narrow beach is easily accessible to the lucky residents living along the shore. From above, you’ll spot the vibrant coral reefs just offshore, teeming with colorful fish, delicate sand dollars, and sea urchins waiting to be discovered by snorkelers.
We follow above a jetskier gliding across the crystal-clear turquoise waters toward the northern section, where the beach widens and meanders along the charming Fitts Village.
Circling back south, a catamaran catches our eye anchored just offshore. This is a favorite spot for these cruises to pause, giving their guests a chance to swim in these inviting waters and snorkel with the area’s sea turtles.
When it comes to sunsets Prospect Beach doesn’t disappoint — whether you’re aboard an evening cruise, watching from a hotel balcony, or simply relaxing with a rum punch in hand and toes in the sand.
Looking northward, the coastline reveals its beautiful rhythm, winding and weaving to create intimate little bays all along the shore. As we continue up the coast, Fitts Village comes into full view, showcasing one of the most endearing aspects of Barbados: a coastline where luxury homes, welcoming hotels, quaint houses, beachfront restaurants, and seaside churches all share the same waterfront in harmony.
