Dover barbados

We join the drone flight just offshore Dover Beach in the St. Lawrence Gap area on the south coast of Barbados.

Below us the waves lap gently onto sandy shores as beachgoers enjoy a stroll along the beach. Perhaps they are staying at the Southern Palms oceanfront hotel, resplendent in its iconic pink colour!

Heading east along the coast we join Rainbow Beach, home to White Sands condos and O2 Resort. The offshore coral reefs are clearly visible through the turquoise waters. These natural reefs and the man-made boulders further along help protect these coconut-lined shores from beach erosion.

Rounding the point Turtle Beach comes into view. Here too the familiar soft white sands and warm turquoise waters welcome us. It’s easy to see why this area of Barbados is a tourist hub, with visitors from around the globe choosing to vacation here.

We next head west taking in the oceanfront hotels that line the coast.

Returning to Dover Beach, our aerial perspective reveals the length of this magnificent beach. Several beachgoers are now enjoying the waters while others lounge under the welcome shade of beach umbrellas.
